I'm starting work at a company, but no matter which one I join, I can't seem to get used to it. The working hours, hierarchy, dull/monotonous work, etc. I'd like to work in the artistic field, ideally self-employed, or even under contract if necessary. What do you think?

It's as if nothing would work without them, and if they're not there for a while, everything continues as normal and even more relaxed.
