Natural antidepressants?

Hello. I'm looking for a natural antidepressant. I've tried escitalopram, but I'm just too afraid of the side effects and the fact that I'd have to take it every day for so long.

I need something for my nerves, something to calm my brain during stressful periods so I don't have to think about all that nonsense. Something for restlessness. And something for anxiety. I need something that makes it easy for me, for example, to go to the doctor to get something checked out. And, what's also important, something that doesn't enter my bloodstream. And something I can take daily during stressful periods, and above all, safely.

I don't always have these phases. It's just intermittent. Doctors always prescribe something so strong, and I just can't bring myself to take it. Just the thought of it doing something to my brain 😪, when I'm already so afraid of illness.

Does anyone know of anything that has helped? Regards

The only antidepressant on a plant basis for which an antidepressive action has been detected is currant. Johanniskraut also acts against moderately augmented nervousness. To this end it must be taken daily in the form of dry extract in relatively high doses (about 900mg)… as in the product, for example Laif Balance 900 are included. An antidepressive effect results after about 2-4 weeks, if one responds to the drug. Johanniskraut dry extract is primarily used in mild to moderate depression.

The advantage of currants compared to synthetic antidepressants (such as escitalopram) is the better compatibility. Johanniskraut has significantly less potential and also less powerful side effects. The disadvantage is the worse effect in severe depression as well as the largely lack of anxious effect.

There are already herbs and stuff that should be nerve-smoothing. If you find it easy with Google, it would be too long.

I always find work in the fresh air very soothing. There are actually approaches in research that depressive detunements have only occurred when people stopped being in nature all day.

The cure lies only with you…and not outside with any means… work with your thoughts and above all with your thought patterns and permeate them when they trigger you…all the other outside might help you temporarily…but never heal

Depending on what it comes from, vitamin D may help (but, as I said, depends on what it is)

Fresh air, sun, sport.

And suddenly you don’t care about anything bad in the world.
