Namensideen?

Guten Abend,

How about :

Silas– Has a similar sound as Cyrus and means “man of the forest”, but the association with darkness and shadow can work well.

Draven– Sounds shadowy and unholy, perfect for a dark character.

Lucien– Elegant and mysterious; has a subtle connection to “light” (which can also be exciting in the dark as a contrast).

Corvin– Based on “Rabe”, which is often associated with darkness and disaster.

severine– Sounds noble and gloomy, means “exercise” or “serious”.

Dorian– Known fromThe image of Dorian Gray, it has something seductive, dark.

Noctis– Latin for “night”, full of darkness and mystery.

Thaniel– A modification of Thanatos (the Greek God of Death), sounds gloomy and mythical.

Salem– Has a dark, almost occult sound, could awaken associations with witch processes.

Malrik– An invented name, but with an evil and powerful sound.

Why not Seth? In Egyptian mythology, he is the god of the desert, of chaos, and of ruin, and not necessarily the nicest person.

Or how about Cyrus to Kyros the disciple. After all, he planned a murder attack and a rebellion against his older brother to climb the throne.

Of course, I could call you other names, e.g.:

Sidar – Means Shadow of the Tree

Siyabend – I found contradictory, but something “dark.” Alternatively, simply take the bend away and only take Siya.

But in the end, I’d rather advise you not to make the names so exaggerated. You probably want to achieve something with the sound of the names, then he doesn’t need a matching name. Especially when you choose too often and too inflationary names with different backgrounds because of their meaning, it quickly falls. Better consider which name is most appropriate with regard to the background of character (parents, origin etc.).

And if it is to be a speaking name, it may be less obvious that there is still some room to play.

In fact, I can highly recommend chatGPT. If you enter the AI what you want, be it meaning, sound, origin or whatever, it can spit out names in rows.

However, you should always search them to see if they are right, because they always make mistakes.

I use them as an inspiration for fantasy names by adding the sound that the name should have about.

What do you think of Sharlaza?

Otherwise, a rough description of appearance and strength would be helpful!

Okay, how do you like the name?

Sharlaza as a mentor and Shaza for your 17-year-old maybe? Otherwise it’s really hard if you don’t know that much!

I suggest:

  • Cyrus,
  • Seth,
  • Slava

and that you ask ChatGPT.
