Get back up straight away after falling down?

Hello everyone!

Although I haven't fallen off a horse for several years now, every time I fell, I was told to get back on, otherwise the horse would win…

In my opinion, that's nonsense, because I would only get back on the horse with fear, which would then be transferred to the horse and could cause very dangerous situations…

Or is there something behind it?

Hello!

If possible, you should rise again. Mostly, the horse has only frightened, or was overwhelmed with your help (can’t “read”, etc.) At this moment it would be inappropriate to punish the horse.

It is usually about trying to avoid the fear of the rider. It is of course not a bomb-proof method to prevent the fear, but it still helps.

Of course, if something hurts, you shouldn’t get on the horse anymore. If you need to consider whether the ambulance should be picked up.

there’s something behind it that you’ll best overwrite the information of the bad experience in your brain right away, otherwise you can get afraid of riding.

if you don’t have a truce break, then you’ll scratch again and ride a few round steps, even if you hurt yourself a bit.

this has nothing to do with whether the horse has now “worn” or not, but serves to build a cage for your inner pig dog as soon as possible.

You should rise again so you don’t show the horse that’s after that. Could happen that the horse realizes that it’s over. The human being should not simply give up after such a “fairbeat” but should not continue to grow the fear of a possible further fall. You don’t have to go on like before. Can also relax riding a few rounds if you are too scared.

It doesn’t bring much.

Yes, it would be a possibility. The main thing the horse does not learn that after a fall it means the end of the work. Something like that can end badly.

At least not alone without support on a horse that throws you down. If you can’t even sit up for security reasons (or possibly even worse!), then you and the horse could spare the bad experience.
But maybe I don’t understand what you mean. 😆

That’s right. You shouldn’t ride with fear. There’s no horse that’s gonna put you back. And not at all. You shouldn’t get on a horse alone if you’re not sure.
On a horse that you don’t dare, another rider should be on it immediately – one that doesn’t fall down. Because if a horse buckles 5x, and 4x falls one down, it has learned that buckling is rewarded by weight loss. This is not “big” or “calculating” from the horse, but its logical conclusion. It means it did everything right. No matter if you sit back after it or make groundwork to fall around – the horse no longer sees any connection.
The fact that you don’t have much interest in riding has nothing to do with it. You don’t have to throw yourself down for that, but you don’t have to do that with riding. 😏

If you’ve read all the other answers here, it should be unnecessary. The horse is his loath, or something, and you have nothing of it. But in the great army the “reiter” ends, which then over years only fit their horse like a dog on the leash, because they cannot ride it. They imagine themselves and others, “the sattler is guilty”, or “yet, it doesn’t come to me like riding”….the latter is only credible in very few people.

You’re absolutely right. Why some people say that, I’m totally out of my mind. You had an accident. Who is absolutely resting in himself? In such a constitution on the horse lays the foundation for even more accidents. Who needs it… the horse still leads if you can do it quietly, until it can relax completely again, is offered. But only if you can be calm. If you don’t, it’s too early to come.

In most accidents it would even be good to look first:

what happened to me

what happened to the horse

what happened to the equipment?

Can I even perceive what happened to me, keyword adrenaline?

Some riders still hang on to the hard core, so it doesn’t matter if you’re making a broken leg, an open break on the thigh, because you’re supposed to climb up immediately.

So some riders would be well advised the old tip: recognizing, thinking, then acting to hearty. Saves some hours of hospital.

Better consciousness back on the horse as driven. Some riders have already driven pride and honour into the grave.

That’s clear.

I’m going out of a normal group riding hour. if the horse has set off the rider more or less intentionally, the trainer has to ride a short correction for 10 minutes or if it is a smaller pony, briefly to stretch.

in a normal group training child, you have to hand over a bag towel and take it into the poor until it has stopped to gorge. the horse is then usually ready to sit and looks as harmless as possible.^

Yes – “same” is always relative. To sort it out, pull it all out, wait until the cycle has switched back to normal, the adrenaline has gone down, the cause has been clarified… There can be a quarter of an hour before you can see if you have to call the ambulance or sit up again with joy.

You should always rise again directly if this is possible.

It’s not about the horse thinking it’s winning, but you’re not afraid of getting up again.

As long as it goes up on the horse. Even if only one round is in step. If you fall down and stop, it can be that you develop fear. It’s supposed to contain it.

If you have flew because the horse has buckled in a targeted manner without pain, it also serves that the horse does not learn that after a fall is over.

In most cases, you don’t crash because of really dangerous situations, but because the horse is short-awaited, it was just a bit assaulted or simply because of carelessness or a mistake.

Yeah, so it’s on the horse. If it were an experienced safe horse, I would do it. However, I meanwhile experienced that I would also do it with my horse. Everyone has to know themselves, but it has helped me not to develop a general fear, which I think is about.

The only thing about winning was if the horse had deliberately put you in the sand. If you’ve done the departure, you’ll get up again so that you don’t get scared. You don’t have to take part in a rodeo again after the ascent, but sit on it for a short time and maybe turn a short walk, you should do for your own head. As a rule, the horse does not fear losing the rider, the rider’s head” against it, and against this fear one should meet immediately after a fall, that it cannot even slip in.

It’s less about the horse (you could also put yourself on it differently) than about yourself. I can’t explain this, I’m not a psychologist, but that helps you in the after. If one lands in the hospital, of course ascending is not to be thought. But if you can, you should also do it even if it’s just a round step. If you’re Bange, someone can lead the horse. The main thing is that you somehow come to a “good end”. Maybe you have to do with proofing yourself not giving up completely, otherwise you will get up faster and faster in the future, or feel like a failure. It’s just a thought of me.

Depends on it.If you have so much pain, of course, that’s not what it is after or you or you have hurt the horse, you usually can’t get up. At my first fall, I couldn’t get up anymore, I couldn’t breathe at all. When I could get up, I had to hump but I got the annoying time of riding lesson in step on it and my trainer and my mother would be next to me.

Ichhabkeineide6

You shouldn’t get up because the horse would otherwise win, but that you would dare again and have no fear.

I fell 3 times in a row from the same horse several years ago in the same hour (it was afraid of the wind and the riding instructor was incapable and yet left me rise again without longe)

After the 3rd time I didn’t get up. My ribs were bruised and I didn’t dare to ride for 1 year.

Salomchen

Always depends on the reason why you fell down and where you are.

If you’re hurt, it doesn’t make sense again, but you shouldn’t be afraid.

My horse is predestined to discard foreign riders. Either you rise again, or never again, because the horse learns otherwise, with person XY it comes through.

Mariiaaca

If it goes, get back up. That’s less about the horse than about you.

Otherwise, the probability is high that you’re afraid next time.

Horsegirl117

Well, I’ve fallen down more often, but it wasn’t there. So that the horse “wines” is in my opinion bullshit because the team counts. But still, fall down, stand up, knock off your pants, continue

ZiegemitBock

It’s not about winning or losing, it’s about not being afraid in you.

Dahika

just as you would just rise again with fear, should rise again. To fight your fear.

It doesn’t know if it won or not. This is a dehumane bullshit.
