Vomiting after a nosebleed?
Hello, my dears,
I just had a severe nosebleed for about 20 minutes, and about 4-5 drops ran down my throat, which I tried to spit out. Unfortunately, it didn't always work… I've read that it often makes you vomit. Is that true even with such "small" amounts, and has it ever happened to you? And how long would it take until I started vomiting?
Thanks in advance for any answers, that would help me a lot!
LG and have a nice evening,
Emmi ☺️
Heyho,
Yes, before all after such a long period, it is not unusual that you have to surrender.
The body cannot digest its own blood and must get rid of it otherwise. With too large a quantity of indigesible liquids in the stomach, it is of course that these are re-extracted on a direct way. There’s nothing to worry about.
This is sometimes one of the reasons why in a bloody nose the blood should be drained (if the injury is further inside or even there is a vascular injury… one usually sees the color of the blood).
I hope to have helped you!
Good improvement:)
Thank you. So it’s been an hour and nothing’s happening, I’m pressing the thumbs! 🙏
Then there’s probably nothing going to happen. Your metabolism does not work as extensive as the day in the evening hours. If nothing has happened yet, I don’t think there’ll be anything else. All good 🙂
Thank you.
To all those who sought this question out of interest: there have now been 12 hours and nothing has happened. No nausea or vomiting, just a little dizziness from the blood loss.
Nevertheless: Stay safe and try not to swallow the blood!
LG Emmi
If a lot of blood goes into the stomach, it can be that you have to surrender.
But when do you talk about a lot? Because for me a few drops sound little, but it seems to be a problem anyway…
Every person and every stomach are different. Since you didn’t hand over you, it’s okay?
Thank you for your answers!
Rather unlikely if that comes quite fast. A lot of drinking would be good.
It’s not so long ago, so theoretically it can still come…
