After a thunderstorm, I can't get TV reception, but the internet works. How is that possible?
Recently, there was a severe thunderstorm near me, and lightning struck very close by. Almost all of the routers, not just my house but also the entire neighborhood, were broken, as were some of the satellite dish's LNBs.
As a result, I no longer had internet or TV reception.
After I replaced the router, the internet worked again.
I also replaced the LNB. My old TV with an external satellite receiver on the first floor also worked again.
However, my smart TV on the ground floor with its integrated receiver still doesn't work. It still displays "no reception" on the screen.
Even when connecting the receiver from the 1st floor via HDMI cable, nothing happens.
What does work, however, is Amazon via LAN cable.
How can this be?
the Smart TV has to be fishing again at the new router..
Internet works via the TV. Amazon runs over the router perfectly. What does not work is the reception via the SAT cable.
