Should you paint your Mz 125 fairing yourself or let the professionals do it?
Having it painted costs a lot of money, so I was wondering if I could do it myself. Is it difficult, or do you need experience?

I completely rebuilt the engine of my GZ125 (new crank, pistons, connecting rods, etc.) after it briefly ran on too little oil 3 years ago and since then had a connecting rod failure that worsened this year and almost 3,000km later. Now the engine doesn't sound good, and it's ticking/clattering in sync with the rpm,…
Hello, I own a 2018 Z900. I currently have the standard manifold with an SC Project S1 on it. The sound is very clear, but doesn't sound aggressive to me. I don't necessarily want a very loud exhaust, and I know that the exhaust alone can cause serious misfires. But I love the sound of…
Hello everyone, I would like to get an A2 motorcycle license in Baden-Württemberg. What costs should I expect at the moment, including registration, testing, etc.?
Can you ride a bike with a motorcycle helmet?
My Yamaha MT 125 (2016) no longer has ABS after changing my tires. I removed both tires (front and rear) to get them replaced. After installing the tires, the ABS stopped working. I disconnected and reconnected the battery, but still no difference. Anyone reply? Thank you in advance
I'm planning on doing that. Since existing protection exists, different legal regulations apply. What do I need to pay attention to? What can I change (compared to the original)?
This may be, even lacquering will not be cheaper. For paint guns, compressors, air-slip, pressure regulators, etc., you can quickly get 1000€ without a drop of paint flowing.
The alternative would be spray cans. If the paint is to last longer than before the first tank, you won’t get around 2K automatic paint, you can forget the building market tool for garden furniture.
So ne can costs between 15 and 20€, there you are quickly 200€ with plasticizer, filler, basecoat and clearcoat, plus silicone remover, dust binding cloths, sanding fleece, water sanding paper, breathing mask etc.
Or you make a children’s paint with 5€ building market cans. Over and out. Then please don’t forget to put a picture of what it looks like after a month.
Well, there may be “natural talents” that can get that kind of thing right now. These could, of course, save a lot of money.
Whether you belong to these, you can try out: get matching colors and paint with them any objects that have a similar surface quality as your moped parts – something will probably be found there (to take the car from your dad’s emergency) – or rather not, some fathers are something own.
So, and that will be painted. What to do as a “pretreatment” is described in the net.
Have fun and success.
Sooo, and the “ready” result will be critically annoyed afterwards: if you like it, then you do it exactly the same with your moped parts, if not, you better leave this professional.
Little tip: if you should choose the pros and make you a lot of money headbreaking, ask them what you could do about preparatory work – there’s one or the other work, and then it won’t be so expensive.
thank you for your answer 🙂 that by car from my father I will definitely try out 😀 he will surely be happy
the holy sheet of the vater as a probable piece…what for an idea!!!
I’d make him look shorter at the test… :-)))
och, fathers are different – if he isn’t completely color-blind at the color selection, I might not even remember that at my bowl…
Hello,
you can remember what I already have on this topic regarding a poor painting and Value of motorcycle have you written?
And what I wrote to you in principle for repainting?
Best regards
Michael
sry but I have never asked a question about painting so I have not received any answer from you;)
Do you suffer from memory loss in your young years?
Welcome to Michael
if you’ve never painted, leave the fingers of it.
for this you need experience, expertise, the necessary skill, technology and also the know how.
so out of the wrist simply instinctive…… goes mercilessly wrong.
