My Windows was installed on the wrong hard drive. How do I get it onto my SSD?

Hello, I installed Windows a few days ago, but apparently on my hard drive, which means my PC takes five minutes to boot. I've already tried resetting it, but it's no use.

Take a program like Acronis and clone the system HDD to the SSD. After that, you need to boot from the SSD in the bios to delete the HDD partitions via the disk management.

Boating is then possible without direct indication.

Attention: After installing Acronis just restart the PC so it works.

If you have an ISO file (Stick or CD) you can reinstall Windows, make sure you select the correct disk

You now install Win on the SSD with your USB stick again. Just like you did before. Just hold the wrong hard drive.

But since you keep asking.

Download Iso File from Win Creator

for win 10

https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/software-download/windows10

for win 11

https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/software-download/windows11

Create installation medium and pay attention to the selection of SSD this time.

Lature win then clean

  1. Copy all the files on the HDD on the SSD
  2. Formatting the HDD (in Explorer right click, formatting) then it is clean as file storage space
  3. Copy the files to the HDD

Simply reinstall Windows completely again… this time on the right freezer.

You can choose them when installing

See if your guess is true in the “Data Carrier Management” (right click on the Start symbol > Disk Management).

What Windows is installed?

How does a resetting also cause anything? In this case, irrelevant small stuff is deleted – for example your background image.

Just reinstall Win – on the right plate.

And format the previous installation in the same breath.

Done.

Take a 16gb USB stick, search Google “Windows 11 ISO / usb media tool” then go to the Microsoft website, charge it down. Pack your USB stick in the PC (after running the ISO/usb media tool file –> “Install Change Medium” —-> select USB Stick), press F11-12 when restarting, depending on what’s right below. Then select your USB stick as a boot medium, then the selection of your hard disks —-> All formatting press so all are uncovered —-> Then select and install SSD.
