My new gaming PC keeps crashing?

Hi, I put together a new gaming PC two months ago and had it put together. I ordered the parts myself but took them to the store to be assembled and set up. The PC cost around €2200 just in parts and has Windows 11 Home. I had a €1200 gaming PC from Megaport before that, it was good but slowly it just didn't deliver the performance I needed. But with my new PC I have the problem that if I have multiple websites/games open it freezes and the app crashes. Norton tells me the app is using over 70% of my CPU and then it just freezes. For example, I have an AFK game running in the background while I have TikTok open and several browser taps. My old PC could do that without any problems, but with my new one, TikTok constantly freezes and the game doesn't load properly. It's the same when I start multiple games at the same time; my old PC could do it, the new one couldn't. The guy from the pc shop set up the pc and I just loaded my games etc. onto it

parts: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor
Motherboard B650 AORUS ELITE AX ICE
Graphics: Radeon RX 7900 GRE
64 GB RAM Corsair
BE QUIET CPU fan

Only what you can do:

  1. Control temperatures and utilisation (cpu70% as you write, sounds a lot – should be in idle vlt at 5%. See how it is with you).
  2. Bring BIOS to the latest version.
  3. Windows on the latest version
  4. Drivers for GPU and chipset to the latest version
  5. In case of doubt, reinstall Windows times.

If you mean “nortan” norton antivirus, it wouldn’t be a miracle that’s going to be exhausted.

Get down. Windows Defender make his work and surf with brain.

Oh, okay. Thanks for the feedback.. Just see if your subscription is automatically extended. If yes, disable once. Otherwise, you have to pay for the crap in the end.
