Hello! The new My Hero Academia movie is coming out today, and I wanted to ask if it's better to watch it in German or Japanese with German subtitles, since both versions are being shown in theaters. Besides, I don't want to be the only complete idiot sitting in the theater watching either version. 😂😅
The first picture is the English DVD box of seasons 1 to 3, which contains the Japanese synchro with English subtitles and the English synchro.
On the lower two pictures is the German version. Here it is then the first volume of the seasons 4 and 5 including the collecting slider in which the remaining volumes of the seasons can be inserted into me. So you should also buy the remaining volumes of the seasons.
Staffel 4 consists of 5 volumes and season 5 of 4 volumes.
The German DVDs contain the Japanese synchro with German subtitles and the German synchro.
You have to decide what’s better for you.
In the Crunchyroll subscription, what in the cheapest version ca. 7€/month you can watch all animes from the Crunchyroll catalog.
These include “My Hero Academia” currently 6 seasons in Japanese with subtitles and the first 5 seasons also with German synchro.
With the DVD version you have to buy the episodes and then watch them every time as long as the DVDs do not break.
It has advantages and disadvantages. With a disc you can always watch it regardless of any vendors. However, it is quite expensive and limited to specific content.
An Abo at Crunchy offers you access to all content of the anime and to many more, but costs monthly.
If you are not only interested in My Hero, I would recommend Crunchy. But if you want to support the studio and/or other employees of the anime, buying the Volums is always a good thing.
I personally buy both. But I’m also a buyer collector. Haha.
Btw: Volum doesn’t mean you’re buying a whole season. It consists of several volums, so you are at least 120 euros when buying a single season.
