My help and tips for applying for citizen's allowance: support with lengthy application processes and immediate assistance?

Hi dear ones,

I would be very grateful for your support/advice/ help .

My application for citizen's allowance has been taking what feels like an eternity. They've been requesting the same documents over and over again. Now, after what feels like an eternity, they seem to have almost everything. Surprisingly, the office (they almost never responded to calls or emails before) responded by email to my inquiry, saying they finally have all the documents. They just want to know why my mother occasionally transferred me a hundred euros. Oh, and after what feels like an eternity, they only responded because I wrote that I could hire a lawyer.

If the application was submitted in December 2023, is it correct that they can only request bank statements for October, November, and December? Or can they also request the current months?

And, do you have any tips on how I can argue why my mother occasionally transferred me a hundred euros? FYI, I still live with my parents and I'm 26. But the job center seems to have realized by now that we're not a community of need. At least, they haven't asked about it since my parents signed a letter stating that we aren't.

Oh, and would it be cool to apply for emergency aid now? Unfortunately, my parents don't have the money to fully support me, and I don't want to be a burden on them either. I already applied for emergency aid at the end of December. But it was rejected on the grounds that too many documents were still missing, and therefore, it couldn't be finalized.

If so, how do I best apply for emergency aid?

I would be very grateful for your help and kind, helpful comments.

Greetings in solidarity

It’s enough if you let the job center know you’ve got money from your mother, because you haven’t had money or money at your disposal due to the long processing time and that you’ll return the money with the repayment.

The Jobcenter may require account statements to determine how a claim exists or exists. It is therefore not only allowed to request the last three months before the submission of the application, but also for other periods.

Do you mean with the emergency aid the request for provisional approval or request for advance?

You can do both as you did at the time. In the meantime, according to your information, they have enough documents to justify the claim.

In principle, you can make an application for counselling assistance via the District Court and thus request a lawyer. If you receive the authorization certificate, you will not be charged at any cost or a maximum of 15 euros if the lawyer insists on the package.

before they have reacted as well as never to calls or mails

They don’t have to.

You can forget phone calls and emails.

what can I argue why my mother has turned over to 100 euros from time to time?

How about the truth?

Normally, given the long application period, I would recommend you to go to a lawyer; I fear, however, that you are responsible for these.
