My book: How does it begin?

In a previous question, I described a book I'm writing: It's about a mass murderer in Victorian London who dies and is accidentally revived during the pathologist's autopsy, thus resuming his atrocities…

Would it be conceivable to begin the novel with a letter from the pathologist to the police or a newspaper article written by the police? Or should I go straight into the plot?

starting the novel with a letter or newspaper article is possible. This can be a good introduction to the story that awakens the interest of the reader and can make him curious about the further action.

I would enter the action directly to immediately draw the reader into the sog of history. This can be particularly effective when the action is exciting and captivating.

Get started.

That sounds very boring. Better start directly with the book with the action

That sounds boring. Has something from Frankenstein’s monster…

Just start the story.
