Do we have to pay for the damage?
A friend of mine and I borrowed bikes for the day. We spent the entire day on them and have to return them tomorrow. We both took the bikes for a quick shopping trip. When we came out of the store about 10 minutes later, her rear tire was flat. We noticed that the valve had been removed. That's the part of the valve that you can completely unscrew from the tire. That part wasn't lying around either. We searched everywhere. But the person who let the air out must have thrown it somewhere. Now the question is, since the tire isn't damaged, but "just" a new valve was screwed on and the tire needs to be re-inflated, do we still have to pay for it tomorrow?

Der Mieter, beziehungsweise dessen Haftpflichtversicherung haftet, in diesem Fall deine Freundin.
Ausgenommen ihr könnt den Verursacher ausfindig machen, dann haftet der.
Bei einem Ventil lässt der Vermieter vielleicht mit sich reden.
Okay,gut zu wissen.Jetzt hat sie gerade noch gefragt,ob das auch so wäre,wenn sie irgendwo durchgefahren wäre?
Dann käme ihre Haftpflichtversicherung für den Schaden auf.
Ich würde in so einem Fall den neuen Schlauch, eventuell den Reifen bezahlen, ohne Versichtung, so teuer sind die nicht, da Leihfahrräder im allgemeinen Standardreifen haben.
Wenn ihr das dem Vermieter so erzählt, wird er keinen Schadensersatz fordern.
Er will euch ja wieder als Kunden haben.
Die paar Euro sind doch nicht die Welt
