Do you have to know everything before training?

I would like to complete an apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application development.

My question is:

What do you need to be able to do before training?

I can build websites with HTML, CSS and JavaScript and am currently learning Flutter and Dart.

I know someone who has been programming for over 5 years and he is very good at it, he is currently programming in C++.

Furthermore, I know a lot about computer hardware and have built my own PCs.

I am a Dipl.-Math and trainer for this job. We do not require special knowledge. What is important is that you are passionate about this profession. You need a good mathematical and logical understanding. If you’ve already programmed and have fun, these are good conditions. You learn concrete technologies in training. If you have a corresponding understanding, you are right in this profession. Our company is testing this in a test with the applicants.

The only thing you need to do before training is to inspire you for the area.

Even if you were a complete beginner and had no knowledge at all, you could start this training just because the training is there for it.

With the previous knowledge, you will probably be able to go through the first 2 years of training very easily.

So it is advantageous to possess these previous knowledge, but not absolutely necessary.

Depends on whether you do your training. But usually it is enough to think logically and to be able to program or know how it works.

The rest you learn in training, and that’s what it is

The more you can, the more you get a training place. You’ll learn the rest of the training.
