Everything can, nothing has to. I wouldn’t let the tooth be removed at your place as long as it doesn’t hurt, but treat it. So, a new crown on it or a filling and a pen in it or whatever you can chew on it again. And let go of caries before, if there is, nothing will last long. If it comes to a painful infection, it can still be removed. If 1 dentist doesn’t want to do this, you can ask for another and a third. If everyone does not want (especially because of regulations here), then abroad, the Czech Republic, for example, the patient decides much more than here. Last but not least (if all dentists are ready to remove the tooth only), if the hole is “favourable”, it can be filled with a qualitative temporary filling (such as Fuji) itself and build up a bit at the top with another material so that the tooth can be chewed again. Pulling is the last, without tooth it is unpleasant! I would only let you do that if the tooth is not otherwise treatable and there are massive discomfort on the tooth (such as tooth pain or a hamster jaw).

Oh, no, it doesn’t necessarily result in a failure. Is a disturbing gap that remains.

No problem! Otherwise, the dentist wouldn’t tell you.

Just believe what the dentist says.
