Muss ich meinem Vater Geld für mein Bett bezahlen?
Hallo,
ich habe neulich Geburtstag gehabt und von meinem Vater ein Bett bekommen, beziehungsweise, hat er mir dieses schon vor meinem Geburtstag gekauft und aufgebaut. Er hat mein vorheriges Schrankbett abgebaut und ich musste in der Zwischenzeit auf einem alten unbequemen Schlafsofa schlafen jedes Mal wenn ich da war (jedes zweite Wochenende inkl. die Hälfte aller Schulferien).
Dann hat er ein 1,40er Bett gekauft (das Schrankbett war ein kleines) bei dem ich nur minimal mitentscheiden durfte.
Er lebt hier mit meiner Stiefmutter und ihren zwei Kindern (Ich mit meiner Schwester bei meiner Mutter). Nun meinen sie, das bett kat insgesamt 370€ gekostet und sie würden davon nur 100€ übernehmen, den Rest solle ich von meinem Geburtstagsgeld nehmen.
Ich finde das nicht besonders fair, da sie mir ja sogar wie keine wahl gelassen haben. Außerdem hatte ich vor mir von meinem Geburtstagsgeld zum 16. etwas zu kaufen, dass ich wirklich haben möchte.
Was denkt ihr?

In principle, there is no participation in “gifts” from others. Except you discussed it before and agreed.
It has been a gift without conditions. That bed is yours now.

No. You don’t have to. He’s a father to make sure you have a bed.
Hello first, please…. and yes this is really fucking first that is your birthday and actually had to pay your parents or so my parents gave me something. And didn’t pay for that, no matter how it costs your parents are your parents and they have to take care of it for you, you don’t have to take it from your birthday money. If they don’t have money, they shouldn’t buy you a bed.
