Do I need to turn the back of the business card for printing?

I ordered business cards in the past, and I vaguely remember that you have to rotate the back 180 degrees to print properly. Is this still correct, or does it depend on the printing company?

I bought my cards at Vistaprint and made the back in the same alignment as the front. Nothing has to be turned. This is printed exactly like that.

Depending on how someone turns the card (cross-format) (over the short or long side), the font is on the head (over long side turned) or not (over short side turned). In the case of format, it is correspondingly reversed. You have no influence on this.

Even if you start the cards yourself, a printer with a turning function always turns the page so that it starts up. For example, you will adjust before printing how the page is turned. It also works with Microsoft Publisher. This allows you to create front and back sides in such a way that they are printed exactly congruently – but is very cumbersome.
