Do I need to change my vehicle registration document?

I bought new springs for my car and will have them installed soon. The springs have a general operating permit (GOP) and are definitely suitable for my car, ensuring it will sit about 4 cm lower on the asphalt. Nothing else has been changed. Now the question: since, as far as I know, a modification approval is not required (it doesn't state in the GOP that one is required), do I have to record the lowering in the vehicle registration document?

Nee, you don’t have to write anything in the vehicle certificate!

When buying spare parts, make sure that the depth spring is equipped with an ABE – a general vehicle parts permit. This allows you to see whether the vehicle parts are also approved for mounting on your car.

If the TÜV sees this, everything is fine.

Depth and track widening must also be entered with ABE.

Not right. If there is no need for a change in the ABE, you don’t need it.

It’s all in the ABE. You need to read and understand yourself.

If the vehicle is in the standard state, i.e. without any further changes, an ABE is sufficient without registration for the laying down. If, however, something has been changed on the vehicle, steering wheel, wheels etc., for example, the ABE of the depth spring has to be entered in combination with the other change.

Yeah.
