So it’s really easy.

You could, for example

7×30 +
7×3 expect

or even

10×10 +
1×10 +
10×4 +
1×4

I hope it is understandable;)

(1) 7 * 33
(2) ------
(3) 21
(4) + 21
(5) ------
(6) 231

Declaration:

  1. The task is in line 1.
  2. Here a computing line is drawn in.
  3. In line 3, the result is 7*3, i.e. the product of the first digit of the second digit with the first digit. Important: One of the results is just under the first digit of the second number.
  4. In the next line, the result is the next digit of the second number with the (total) first number. Here too, the one stands under the number of the second number, i.e. is offset by one point to the right.
  5. A plus is written in the last line before the sum stroke.
  6. Here are the sum of the column-wise added partial results from rows 3 and 4.

The whole works with any number:

12 * 345
--------
    36
     48
+ 60
--------
    4140

30*7

= 210

3*7

= 21

and then 210 + 21 = 231

It’s a lot of things to do in the head.
