Multi-utility connection cover won't fit?
I urgently need help! I'm installing fiber optic cables in apartments. Recently, as you can see in the picture, I found a metal part on the multi-service connection that wouldn't fit. How do I get this thing back in? I pushed the rubber band in far, but it wouldn't go. Three men tried to push this metal thing in – twisting, turning, and doing. There has to be a solution! What do you suggest? How should I proceed?
I guess the part was cemented once and the wall was made smooth afterwards.
It’s like a press fit. The part was under tension in the wall.
After removal, the metal has relaxed, and that’s why it’s no longer pure.
There is nothing other than knocking off the edges, putting the parts in and forgetting them again. There are these special electricians that the electrical installers use to fix sockets and switches in the wall.
It might go back in if it is possible to cool the metal down so far that it shrinks a bit and fits again. Freezer.
