Mulard duck?
I know that the Mulard duck is a cross between a Peking duck and a Warty duck, but I'm wondering why one would cross these two ducks and what would be the benefit of doing so, if there is any?
Good evening, my budgies have been free-flight since midday, and now one of them is sitting in a crack behind the cage. How do I get him back in? He can't find the entrance. He's not really hand-tame. He came to the front once, but then he keeps running back. How do I get him…
Hello, I have a marten/fox-proof area around the chicken coop. Unfortunately, it just turns into mud when it rains even a little, because it's on a slight slope. The chickens are only inside there early in the morning and late in the evening. I then open the door to the grassy outdoor run. There's never…
I DON'T KNOW WHY, but I find chickens kind of funny ðððĪŠ Heaven forbid someone writes: I like chicken in the pan. I mean chickens that live alive and free! Best regards.
Good day, I'd like to know what can be done about hair loss. For me, it's hereditary, as it runs in my family, but how can I prevent my hair from falling out until I'm 25 without necessarily having a hair transplant? I've read that liver is supposed to help when it comes to nutrition,…
One wants to combine the best properties of both types. Don’t breed!
The Mularde, which is sold here in Germany in a large style, comes from a white heavy Cherry Valley duck (mother) and a white XXL warttenenerpel. The intersection with 0815 Beijingente is long overtaken and takes place in the hobby area at most.
These hybrids should have the following properties:
Then there are still unintentional crossings between warts and stock breeding forms. Most of the warts are the mother. These intersections then come to the mother rather in size and look more stocky. Such animals are usually useless for the mast, but pretty to look at.
The American even distinguishes these two forms in the name. With us, every intersection with warts is called Mularde. No matter who’s mother or father.
Crossings are always infertile.
They increase faster than Beijingente and Warzenente – so are better for the mast.
