Hello, I've been wondering for a while how to calculate/read a. I already know most of the formula, namely a(x-2 ²+2) (vertex form). How do I get a here? If possible, please provide an answer that can also be applied to other graphs like this. The solution says a=-2, but I really don't understand how…

Hey, I have the following problem: A climber is climbing vertically up a chimney between two rock faces. The coefficient of static friction between his hands and feet and the rock is mü = 3.4. What is the total force he must exert against the rock to avoid falling? Ftotal= -mg+3.4*mg is that correct?
The answers are correct! (c) again asks what the questioner expects precisely… The shortest distance is at the vertex, i.e. at x=50. And in order to get to the distance of 15 m you have to expect! (or is possibly desired here to re-form the function equation into the apex form in order to show that exactly there is the lowest point)
Thank you :>
