MRT Ergebnis lesen?

Scheltens 2

Fazekas 3

Diffuse biltalerale kortiko-subkortikale Atrophie

Bilateral” simply means “on both sides”, so it affects both sides of the brain. “Atrophie” actually means a tail of brain mass. And yes, at the age it is normal that the brain shrinks a bit, but the extent can vary.

The results show that your Opa has signs of brain atrophie (stepwise loss of brain tissue). The evaluations according to Scheltens and Fazekas show a certain degree of brain changes that could indicate age-related degeneration.

You can discuss the results with a doctor who can analyze the MRT result.

Health care in D – to puke. I wish you, despite everything, that everything will be as good as possible and that it will be good for a long time.
