MRI for knee only one side?
Hello,
I had an MRI appointment because I have severe pain in the back of my knee.
Only my left knee was scanned (because that's what the referral said) and the result was that I don't have anything.
Maybe there's something in the right knee that's causing the pain. Could that be the case? Why weren't both scanned?
Radiologists are instruction-related, i.e. what is not on the transfer cannot be done either.
In the case of MRT there are special measurement keyboards (measuring coils) which are usually constructed in such a way that they lie relatively close to the corresponding part of the body. The smaller the measuring range of such a coil is the greater the resolution with which it can operate, which then of course also has a positive effect on the image quality.
Therefore, for example, only one knee, elbow, wrist, etc. can be examined in an MRI. The second side would be a second investigation for which it also needed a second transfer.
Talk to your doctor about a second transfer.
I know that it takes two transfers. Let a transfer for the right knee.
You have to talk to your orthopaedic and the other knee again and discuss the other plan.
It examines what is on the transfer
If what’s in the right knee, don’t hurt the left. All right.
They both hurt. I told my orthopaedic too. I don’t know why he wrote one on the wire.
