Mouse droppings in bread?

Hello,

I just discovered what I thought was mouse or rat droppings in my bread while preparing breakfast. A photo follows:

This isn't an isolated case; it's like this in many slices from the bag. At first I assumed it was maybe burnt wheat or something, but the supposed feces is totally soft.

Now I'm wondering how to deal with this. Unfortunately, I've already eaten a few slices of the loaf, and it's well known that pest droppings can spread some diseases. Do I need to contact the health department? Should I contact the discount store where I bought the bread?

You have something more often – don’t think it’s something unessable. In such a plant, a lot is produced – think there are other burnt residues of something – dough? Yeast?

Do you use any fat so it does not stick somewhere in the production process?

Such black remnants are often found on bread – or other baked goods – only right when you bake it yourself; therefore I am not convinced…

Yes, an optical analysis is sufficient.

You don’t have to eat this, but the bread – if odor sample is negative – you can eat so…

Did the bread taste different?

Could also be chocolate if the bread was made somewhere where chocolate pastries were made.

Yes, as I said, see answer.

That’s reasonable. The eye finally eats.

Take it back to the store and keep a sample of the unidentified substance for the purpose.

is on the packaging ne service call number? 0800… there I would call…

or take back to the store… they will make the maximum crack at the manufacturer and give you 5€ or so…

I’d inform the Health Office once, and the MUST accept the case. Don’t let yourself go.

That’s logical. And quite simply, what else is it?
Now only the question arises: Was the package eaten and it happened in the supermarket, or was the package unharmed and that came in from the manufacturer….

You don’t have to.

I don’t think so.

You don’t have to. It’s 100% even mice.

I don’t. I only know how it goes in bakeries (and big bakeries) and supermarkets!!

I guess it’s the other way around.
