Replacing the engine control unit. Is the number important?

Good day,

My engine control unit is broken, and now I'm at a loss as to what to do. I'm hearing mixed opinions. One person says it works, and another says it doesn't.

I have an Audi A4 8K Avant 1.8 tfsi built in 2012.

My broken one is:

8K1 907 115 N

Bosch 0 261 s06 215

Year of construction 2012

And this from eBay:

8K1 907 115 C

Bosch 0 261 201 959

Year of construction 2009

Now my question: Is it possible to clone my broken one onto the one from eBay?
I picked two experts who do it and one says yes and the other says no.

Can you help me? And maybe explain it to me in more detail?

Best regards

Yes, the number is important.

In addition, the STG must be unmarried from the donor vehicle and married in your vehicle, because the FIN is stored on it.

Must actually be unmarried in the installed state.

It usually gets married. Best demand anyway.

without getting married it becomes difficult and likes to do something for the garbage.
