Motors with 12V?

Hello, I'd like to build a device for myself or my father so he can start his trials bike, as he has knee problems and the kickstarter is too dangerous. I've already thought of a concept (simply two rollers, one of which is powered), but now I'm still missing the drive. I was thinking maybe something like a windshield wiper motor, since those need 12V. I'll use a car battery as the power source.

Does anyone know which engine I could use?

A windshield wiper motor would be too weak. And the drive of the electric motor needs a freewheel so that it does not turn faster after start, as desired.

This is what starters are designed for. They have the necessary torque and a movable rod, which engages the flywheel and is pressed back again by the engine speed and is thus separated from the flywheel.

A windshield wiper motor is only to move the windshield wipers with little force, but to run permanently without overheating or breaking.

A starter is the opposite, which is made for generating irresponsible power for a few seconds to turn the motor through. Since the only 12V has available, the one with a small car engine must then pull over 100A to get to far over 1000W power.

A windshield wiper motor has only about 40W. If the motor of the “Moped” can be turned so easily that the windshield wiper motor is enough, then a toddler could also start over the kickstarter.

So you need a 1kW engine, on the order of magnitude you can easily connect it to a socket, thickness cables, switches with gigantically thick contacts and a battery that you have to recharge after a few times.

40W are 40W.

If you could change performance by scratching, an old man could replace any nuclear power plant on a training bike.

Of course, you could also connect it to 24V or 48V, then the much more power would have. But how long it takes until the then burns through, then you have to try out.

A windshield wiper motor is too weak. You already need a (small, from a motorcycle) starter. TITLE 2
