It makes sense if you do both driving licences at the same time. You only have a theory check and only a registration. So correspondingly lower fees.

What it costs is regionally different. There are mandatory hours and hours for both driving licences, which you need to learn the driving/technology. How much you need for the second is yours. If you have previous knowledge or learn quickly, it is likely to be a few hours. If you have problems with the vehicle, technology or road traffic, you need a few hours more.

Check out the driving schools in your city or area with what costs you have to pay. Evtl. you can also check the driving schools after the evaluation in the network. It’s ultimately your decision what you’re doing and what you’re going to. Good luck.

This basically depends on your skills and your region. In Bavaria, for example, the driving licence is more expensive than in Schleswig-Holstein.

If you can do everything at the first time and you can drive well, you’d be realistic about €5,000. Otherwise it will be more expensive, the more driving hours or testing attempts you need.

I made this together last year, cost just under 4000 euros. I used only the compulsory hours.

This varies according to region. It is clear, however, that it costs far more than 2500€. A true luxury and not realizable for poor people. Therefore, many poorer people do not get a job because bus and train in Germany are very unreliable on the one hand and unfortunately not free on the other.
