Motorcycle key broken..replacement as soon as possible?
Hello everyone.. I'm Patrick, I'm from Bremen and I'm 25 years old. I've been riding my 2007 Kawasaki Z750 since I was 24. Unfortunately for me, my key broke today. Now, when I call the service department for the motorcycle itself, it takes several weeks to copy it and have it sent to me. I bought the motorcycle with only one key and the only problem is that I have a big tour planned for Friday 5th with lots and lots of friends and I can't cancel. Now my question: If I go to a locksmith, hand over the broken key and prove that it's my motorcycle with the vehicle registration document.. Would they be able to copy it? Or is there a chip in the key to my 2007 Kawasaki Z750? Or something similar? I mean, there are plenty of blank keys available online and they don't cost much, but is it possible to have it copied as cheaply as possible at a "normal" locksmith? Thank you very much, I hope for quick and helpful answers.
