Motorcycle rust discovered?
Today I discovered rust on the swing arm of my motorcycle for the first time (everywhere else was fine).
The bike is four years old and has less than 20,000 mileage. I didn't ride it in the winter and it was always kept indoors.
In a total of four small places on the swing arm, the paint on the weld seam has chipped off and now some rust has unfortunately formed there?
How serious are such rust spots?
e.g. when reselling?
Hello
document and claim.
If the rest of the motorcycle was “painted” in the same quality then the grate will soon run out as pipe profiles or for Ural, Dnjeper or China cheaper things are the state of the art.
The weld seam is also not very well made, probably the colleague Schweissrobotor was at the clock limit and had no welding time. This is probably a cast steel part where a “reinforcement sheet” was welded. Probably the modular swing is also bel smaller bikes with less power in use or in the break test there was a problem that was solved with it.
Is an MT 07. Thank you.
It’s nothing bad. Welding seams are fast. The part is not well painted. Put the grate away and paint over it. My motorcycle is 30 and has 150000km. I had something like that,
Thank you, that calms me down.
With the paint I have made very good experiences on car and scooter. Soon my 125s get some of it. But for you “glossy” would be better.
Thanks for the tipp
