When there is moisture, you scrape the charger and with a bit of luck also the control unit of your machine. Build the battery and store it in the house.

No, it’s not. The machine can easily stand for a few weeks. I know some who don’t even grow and load the battery in winter.
I build the battery in autumn and put it in the basement, as I don’t move the bike in winter anyway. Two days before the first tour I charge the battery overnight and install it. It worked fine so far.

In principle, batteries and electrical devices are not particularly well tolerated with moisture and also excessive cold is not recommended. My battery is under the bed in winter and is charged every 4 weeks (or not).

The maintenance mode checks every 60 minutes whether your battery is still full and loads it if it is not. This is supposed to prevent a low discharge because the battery can break it. You can do this – it’s m.E. but unnecessary. I would separate the battery from the charger, store it free of frost and then recharge every 4 weeks. This also prevents a low discharge, which is sufficient. And in the evening before the first ride, you’re gonna blow it again, put it in and go.

Extend the battery and winter in the cellar, otherwise problems can get.
