The mixture to be lean can have all possible reasons with such an old-timer. But if you didn’t work on the carburetor, it is of course not the “gasifier setting” or rather Voting.

Of course, one cannot know whether one of the many Owners has not been whipped around the carburettors. Wearing is also conceivable, although it is more likely from my experience to Fat Mixture results (rough accessory needle rubs the needle nozzle with time.) But the most likely candidate for weight loss is secondary air due to assembly faults at the periphery, including elbows.

Defaults when the choke is disabled.

Carburetor adjustment is too lean. You should see that at the picture of the spark plugs. They will probably be quite bright (white to light grey).

The choke ensures that the mixture is greased (to compensate for condensation losses in the cold engine). So you give more fuel, so that the mixture is no longer too lean.
