Motorcycle built between 1990 and 1996 spare parts or maintenance costs?
Hello folks.
My question is:
Does anyone know what the maintenance or spare parts situation is for choppers like Honda shadow, daelym daystar, Yamaha virago etc.?
There are many offers of beautiful bikes, but they are all at least 20 years old or even older…
Does anyone have experience with bikes like this?
If you want to sell them on, you often have to wait a long time for a buyer, hence this question.

We already had several viragos. From the 125s to the 1100s. Spare parts are always available. Even for my 1980s yamaha xs750
I drive ne 98er honda shadow vt600. I had absolutely no problems with spare parts. also not to find a workshop. accessories (for rebuilt) is also not a problem for the models – that’s almost like the golfs under the mopeds I sometimes have the feeling.
I can’t say resale. but the 600 models are quite popular in the custom area because you can do a lot with it.
with the common Japanese there are hardly any problems .. get for my 79s – 84s Yamahas everything I need…
with Daelim and comparable I would be careful…
