Motorcycle with a height of 1.61m?

Hello,

I inherited this motorcycle from my father and would love to ride it. Unfortunately, I'm quite short and the bike is quite tall. My question is, are there any accessories that can be installed on the motorcycle to prevent it from tipping over so easily?

I'm asking for helpful, non-demotivating answers, because I'm convinced I can handle the bike. My dad wasn't much taller than me either.

Thank you.

I’m very sorry about your dad.

Basically, the bike is probably too high for you, but I can understand your desire.

First of all, it’s a bit about what you’re bringing to previous two-wheeler experience. When someone rises on a bike which is very high in relation to its body size, it rises differently than on a flat bike. He/she then rises (with of course folded out side stand) with the left foot on the catch and then swings on the bike like on a horse. If that worked out, you could test to what extent you come to the ground with your feet and carefully (!) in the presence of two (!) emergency helpers take the bike off the stand. Then look again how it looks with the ground contact of your feet and how far you have control over the bike. If you don’t get on the ground with your feet, I’m sorry to disappoint you. It won’t work.
If there are 3 centimeters for a safe stand, you could use the bench here

rework. This then includes a cushioning and also a reduction of the Soziushöcker I would advise you to get better over with your leg. Of course, there are other good addresses for this, but where you are well-released, the bench will really make you measure. Making the bench a little narrower also brings something.
Furthermore, the “seat sample” should also check whether the chassis is set to match your weight. I don’t know exactly how far the suspension can be adjusted on the bike, but it should be checked and among other things it also brings 2 cm – along with optimally functioning suspension.
If that’s still not enough, you could leave your motorcycle a little deeper. However, this should be the last possibility due to the changed driving behavior and possibly also be made by a person skilled in the art. Simply swap the feather leg for a shorter one – this is not long, because the geometry of the bike is changed (then you sit wrong). There must be something on the front.

If you’re too small and don’t get to the ground with both feet, it’ll be difficult to drive safely..or if it tilts easily and you can’t keep it while you sit on it.

You can’t “install” anything against falling around.

But, for example, you can have the bench cut off to get better off your feet.

Well, just at the GS there are these beautiful motor protection bows, because it doesn’t tilt so far 🤭

She still falls, but it prevents scratches and broken blinkers. that’s true.

You could have the bench padded. Lowering is also possible, but leads to considerably lesser driving behavior.
