Motorcycle no longer revs properly, misfires and stalls?
Hi, I have a problem with my Aprilia RS4.
Yesterday I went for a drive and all of a sudden at about 7,000 rpm it misfired a lot and then slowly died after a few more.
When I start it now, it idles well and revs up to 4,000 rpm, regardless of the throttle position.
Then the loud misfires start again and it gradually stalls.
The spark plug is still OK and there is enough fuel.
My first guess would be the ignition system. Does anyone have any other ideas or have had a similar problem?
Misfires often come from incorrectly adjusted valves – such a case for the workshop…
Be happy if the control chain or the guides of it is still completely / are, otherwise the engine is over and you exchange it better…
