Motorcycle left running for 20 minutes?
My used motorcycle arrived on Friday, but by Saturday the spark plug had flooded, and the bike wouldn't start. Yesterday we installed a new spark plug and let the bike run for about 20 minutes, since it hadn't been running for a few months. I've read everywhere that this is bad for the engine (and even illegal). Do you think it's been damaged after just one long run?

If it is not in the car as soon as it becomes too warm, the cooler starts – if you have one – and is good.
Nevertheless, driving under load is better, but it is definitely not.
Driving would have been better than running.
In old air-cooled engines this was not such a big problem, at least not in winter. With new, electronically controlled engines, I wouldn't be so sure anymore.
I don't know why your moped should have been damaged. I hope you took the opportunity to change oil? Because it should also take place after you let the engine run warm or drive… 😜

Because more modern motorcycles are being built, this does not mean that all are being replaced at the same time. I almost don't know anyone who's driving anything other than air cooler and probably already driving motorcycle, you're still straightening around the block with the tricycle. And if you wouldn't know how to get so happy on a biker hit, wheelchair would be your companion for the next few weeks.
