Moped indicators?

Hello, I have the following problem. My rear left turn signal on my moped broke, so I wanted to replace it. I did this, but when I turn left, the front left and rear left turn signals flash evenly, but sometimes quickly and normally. I also have the same problem when I turn right. Could it be that the turn signal relay isn't getting enough power because I disconnected my battery over the winter?

The winter isn’t over yet or do you mean the one from 2020/2021? 😉 But now, does your battery have enough juice in the box? You could check that out. If there is enough voltage you could check/test the relay or you’ll get a new one. They’re not that expensive. Whatever you could do would check the cables from the relay. So whether there are open places that push/insert cables somewhere, whether there may be water damage, etc… With 3-pole relays it is possible to get a cable loose or no longer tight, then nothing flashes as it should. Would a cable be loose or no longer sit in a 2 pole would flash more. You have to do something about the exclusion principle if you want to know it.

It flashes faster and sometimes slower? I would suggest that either the relay no longer runs round – or you have a small mass damage, maybe due to moisture and creep currents. As recommended by Haudegen, I would renew the relay first.

Are the LED flasher or the older generation?

I really didn’t get to the word “mass damage.”… Everything just didn’t happen to me…

Well, “mass faults” would be even more common than “mass damage”. But I did not come to the word before… 😂

So you traded your blinker and since then you’ve got the problem.

Here I would check the plugs of the flasher cables for corrosion and clean this properly. You should also check the ground cable once. In my opinion, you have no problem with the relay, but a mass error.
