Lawn or ground cover at the edge of the forest?

I cleared a small space at the edge of a forest about 6m into the forest. Sun only reaches there to a limited extent, so sowing grass or laying turf hasn't worked so far. Is there an alternative ground cover that grows densely and looks like a lawn? I'm thinking of an evergreen ground cover…

Monstera has not forgotten her origins of tropical rainforest. I would pay attention to less casting and above all in the root area to temperatures of at least 14°C. It has its growth phase with us in the winter half year and has been on hydro for 8 years.

Please miss the temperature in the pot at the roots – sometimes the floor is cold and causes “cold feet”, meaning roots no matter at which room temperature. cork or bast mat under the pot insulated quite well.
