Monstera only grows on one “trunk”, can this be changed?

Good day,

Does anyone here know anything about plants and could help me? I bought my Monstera last fall already rooted. Since then, it's grown a lot, but unfortunately only on one "branch." Is it possible to encourage it to grow in a different direction, or has that already happened?

Maybe someone has some tips 🙂

(Yes, she needs a proper trellis, but I have to find out more about that first.)

As far as I know, you can't do anything. They increase by simply forming new "stems" (see Figures 1 and 2 are other plants). I doubt you can do something.

I can tell you nonsense. In most plants, however, it is like this (eg in the Ficus, picture 1)
