Monitor doesn't turn on automatically with laptop, what's the problem?
Hi everyone. I got a laptop with a monitor for Christmas that also has an HDMI port. But first, let's talk about the hardware:
Manufacturer: VALE
System type: 64 bit
Processor: Intel Core i5 1035G7 1.20 GHz 1501 MHz 4 cores
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
Now to the actual question: The computer is working perfectly and everything is working fine. However, the monitor only has a DVI and VGA port. I bought an adapter from MediaMarkt that works, so I connected everything, and the monitor is working fine. But now I've noticed that the monitor doesn't turn on automatically when I start the laptop. Please help.
Thank you in advance
Logically, not. Individual devices like a monitor have to be turned on manually. It's not a combined device like a laptop.
I don't mean to be rude, but is it possible that you didn't quite understand the question? I don't have a PC, just a laptop.
A laptop always has a monitor. The flap that closes the laptop is the monitor, so it doesn't need to be mentioned.
But since you write
That means you get a laptop AND a separate monitor. Gaming, after all. You write
DVI and VGA are also available for connecting separate monitors, not the built-in one.
If the monitor doesn't turn on when you turn on the laptop, the laptop is completely broken. Claim the warranty. Return it/bring it back.
No signal is logical; the monitor is just on for two seconds longer. But you turn off the laptop? I hope not with the power button. Then you can soon throw it in the trash, of your own making.
Then the flashing will stop when it is finally off.
I don't have one, and what you're writing is complete chaos. You MUST turn off a PC monitor separately.
On the Lappi it goes off when driving down,
If you have any further questions, let me know what kind of laptop you have. I still think you don't have a laptop.
There's one thing I don't understand: when I turn off the laptop, it says there's no signal, and then it just blinks. What does that mean? I'm not that familiar with this topic. 😂
Everything's fine, thanks anyway. I just couldn't figure it out. I had to press Windows+P, then I typed something in there. The monitor now works like a PC. The gMonitor turns on a few seconds later, but otherwise it works again.
