Even if all the nukes of the world explode on one point, the moon would not break apart. But if there was such a bomb that could destroy the moon, the parts would fly in all directions and some of them would surely meet the Earth. This would certainly mean the end of humanity and even if not, without the moon, the living conditions on Earth would be so bad that hardly anyone would survive. The absence of tides would completely upset the weather and climate and the magnetic field of the earth would be so weakened that lethal solar winds hit the surface more or less unhindered.

No, the parts burn in the atmosphere.

Depending on how big the parts are, this is very unlikely. In addition, the moon not only looks beautiful but is important for earth rotation and for tide and flood – if that would be a disaster

The moon laughs about an atomic bomb. Then he’s got more craters. His train wouldn’t make it much.

But yes, if the moon exploded, it would be very bad for us.

The biggest nuke we can make on the moon a 200m crater, maybe we can create with best technology 1 km

What would happen if a nuke hits the moon

There is another crater in the moon surface. Between thousands of others.

Would the moon meet the earth with its pieces??

There would be no significant fragments. A bunch of dust, yeah. But the gravitation of the moon is so strong that this dust falls back on the moon.

What would this mean for the homosapiens?

Waste of money, no more.

The biggest problems arise only when there would be no more moon.

The moon should not be reached at all.

Why? To reach the moon has already succeeded 64 years ago.

My knowledge is not enough. I thought about the atmosphere that would prevent it.
