I was invited to come along to spot in Ramstein. However, I was told that you could have the bad luck of your life and only see a few Hercules flying a few circuits, but also that you could be very lucky and see lots of C-17s, C-5 Galaxys, Omni Airs… and even the occasional jet. My question now is, which is more likely? It's quite a distance to Ramstein, is it worth it? Does anyone have more experience? Thanks, Regards, Jeythekopp

Since I often drive the road between LU and KL past Ramstein by car, I can tell you that there is so much everything there is. Galaxys, I’ve seen a lot. But I would say that the field picture is mainly influenced by C17. Jumbos also land there. I’ve even seen a 747SP. Unfortunately, many nozzle hunters (no idea what patterns) fly around there. As residents, the parts are just hypernervig. Rather, I would be worried at your place, however, about which position one should observe the feliega. I mean we’re talking about a US Air Force Base here! lol lg =)
