Mit welchen Sticks kann ich Cajon spielen?
Ich habe seit fünf Jahren ein Cajon und spiele auch regelmäßig. Heute habe ich gelesen, dass man statt den Händen auch verschiedene Sticks verwenden kann. Nach dem, was ich herausgefunden habe, vermute ich, dass reguläre Holzsticks nicht geeignet sind (davon bin ich sowieso ausgegangen).
Ich habe aber auch gelesen, dass man Brushes verwenden kann. Die Beispiele, die dort dabeigestanden sind, waren alle aus Nylon/Kunststoff.
Ich habe Millenium T51 Drum Brushes und Millenium FY-2 Floppy Stick Rods. Die Rods sind aus Bambus, bei den Brushes weiß ich das Material leider nicht, aber ich glaube irgendein Metall. Kann ich diese auch fürs Cajon verwenden?

I used to googling: there are special Cajon Brushes that have plastic fibers and not metal or wood, so in principle the same result as you already had. I didn’t look at the videos completely, you might get explanations there.
Personally, however, I believe without having tried that the thin metal fibers for the cajon are too quiet and the rods are too “pointed” and thus not beautiful in the sound. But as always: try makes 😜.

In fact, I also thought about this, I could imagine that there are at least scratches when you take unsuitable impact tools. But I’ve never played a Cajon once, so I’ve never seen it. Gruss
