Which fingers do you use to press CTRL/Shift + [Other keys]? Or which "types" are used most often?
I use my left thumb for Ctrl and Shift, and my left index finger for the second key. Therefore, my thumb rests almost entirely on the side of the Ctrl/Shift key.
The question arises because my thumbnail touched the keys and scratched them on my new notebook within a very short time.
I couldn't find any quick pictures online showing the best ways to use this keyboard shortcut with your fingers. How do you do it, and do you know how it's actually supposed to be done?
Depends on the way from where and with what previous posture of the fingers my hand goes in the direction of the two buttons – often it is the thumb for both buttons, positioned approximately so that the tip of the thumb closes with the upper edge of the shift button, and the thumb rests with the side on the buttons, while at the upper joint it is bent approximately 30 degrees, and thus it lies slightly diagonally on the buttons.
At that time (1991) on my Mac, I got used to “barre handles” in case Ctrl and switch had to be pressed simultaneously (efters in conjunction with the single mouse button) – press both buttons with the small finger; Option and command with ring or middle finger. Always with the hand that was not required for the mouse or letter/character button. Even today, I rarely change. (To take the little finger for changeover, we were accustomed to the course for 10-finger writing, that was the most obvious solution for me.)
That’s a funny question:D
That you put the thumb on the Ctrl button is incomprehensible to me. I think it’s more like that.
At all-day index finger on strut, middle finger on shift.
When razing, then rather small fingers on strut and ring finger on shift, so that ring can slide quickly back to WASD, where also middle and index fingers lie. Then chills to space.
I use the thumb for STRG and SHIFT. The question relates more to combinations such as STRG+C/S etc.
Hm, I think I usually do this with a small finger on a string and then depending on the position of the other button with a middle or index finger on C or S. Who bends like this:D
It also depends a little on whether the right hand has to be on the mouse or both are on the keyboard. If I’m completely in write mode, I just use the index finger. You don’t use these shortcuts so often, so at least I don’t.
