Edible oil can be obtained from many plants, e.g. from palm trees.

This is just one of the other ways. Since you mention Asia extra, the lard is also a common fat, early and still today.

There are plenty of options that also fit better with Asian cuisine. Coconut oil, sesame oil, peanut oil, palm oil, animal fats such as ghee or omission of various animals etc.

Grade olive oil, for example, is not suitable for high temperatures, but it is also great for peanut oil.

In Asia, olive oil is extremely rare. Soya oil or peanut oil or sesame oil.

I don’t know how to cook olive oil in Asia. Olive oil is also suitable only to a limited extent.

Otherwise sunflowers, raps, palm oil, coconut oil, animal fats etc.
