Can you clean mirrored cross goggles with visor cleaner?
Like everyone else, I always have the problem of getting spots on my goggles from mosquitoes and other things that fly into my face while riding, which then smudges them. I just bought a visor cleaner to give my goggles a good clean, but I'm wondering if it could damage the seal or any of the coatings?
Unfortunately, I don’t know myself directly with cross-glasses, but the playful visuals of integral helmets have the same problem.
I first use wet kitchen cloth that I only put on the dirt and thus soften it (can also visor cleaners not be used instead of water). Then remove the Zewa and carefully clean the glass with a fine microfiber cloth – do not wipe with the kitchen cloth on the surface!
I’ve been doing this with the “Küchstuch” ever since.
However, I also wipe it through the visor and rub it dry.
No problems yet and no scratches on the sight.

I had already wiped residues from the kitchen paper on the visor, so I would definitely not..
With clear and tinted visors, I don’t make the effort with the microfiber cloth. I only took it when mirrored visors are quite scratch-sensitive. In the meantime, however, I have no more mirrored property…
Mirrored visuals are much more sensitive than normal tinted (up to a few exceptions). Here it is sometimes enough to wipe over with a Zewa to get scratches.
The only advantage the mirrored visors offer is that one sees the hacking freses less well! I drive various tinted and the rest of the people have to find out with the picture!

You’ve read my comment correctly?
I haven’t done this since yesterday, I’ve been doing this for many years without any problems!
Why should I stop it at once?
A little feeling can be put on the day and perhaps the quality of the kitchen towel also plays a role. I don’t use the cheapest stuff.
It may be that this does not apply to mirrored visors. I don’t know, I never had one.

With mirrored or other?
What’s that advertising? If they’re too strong, you’re too weak.
I guess that’s true for your glasses – the visor cleaner shouldn’t mind her.
If so, then this is not the cleaner, but rather the glasses or the quality of the mirror.
If you’re going to be safe on the phone, just read both “control instructions”.
I would also like to say something about the non-existent sense of a mirrored cross-glasses, but I’d better save it;-)
Best regards
Michael
