Hitting the curb with the car's sill. How expensive and dangerous?
While turning, the sill of my car hit the curb. First, the tire hit, and then there was a loud bang as the sill followed. I looked at everything and the sill is scratched on that side, and unlike the other side, it moves easily (probably dented or loose). Does anyone here have experience with this and can tell me what price range we're talking about here/whether it's dangerous to continue driving? I didn't notice anything unusual about the car during the rest of the journey.
Ouch, it’s gonna be expensive, but it’s just because it’s scratches too. This is not dangerous, the actually carrying part is underneath.
Four-digit.
I’m sorry, it’s really hard to see. But the scratches are only on the threshold. That’s what mud splashes are from the same car ride. The scratches are significantly less deep, for that much longer. Sorry if this leads to confusion. You think it’s gonna be four digits anyway?
The bar can be replaced and painted individually – but then it could remain three-digit.
Yes, unfortunately, it is now. Workshop says it is in the higher three-digit range. Let’s see if I really let that go.
