Hello Horch300679

What for (to)

around what? to do? Um… ontofit

Yes, with “um” 🙂 is correct, but the other is not wrong.

Um is a preposition, adverb or conjunction

Um… 9 am I going (preposition)

Um… the 800€ will cost it (Adverb: around ≅ approximate)

Can you come? around care for the children? (Conjunction)

In my opinion, it cannot be missing here “um” a meaning similar to “so that”. It’s a justification.

To watch = so you can watch

Both sentences make a final statement and are correct, whereby the version appears somewhat overcorrectioned with ‘um’.

Without ‘um’ it is more tangible and more economic. Language economics is the most important driver for language change!

It’ll be all over the world. It’s not wrong, but without is the better German.
