Infected with shingles or can I still prevent it?
My arm was touched several times today by someone who probably had shingles. The doctor told him it was just a rash, but his colleague at work was diagnosed with shingles. My question is, am I already infected, or can I still prevent it with medication, showering, etc.
Belt rose in itself is not contagious. But if you haven’t had it yet, you’re not vaccinated.
Am I vaccinated, had windpox as a child and also belt rose in childhood, is the risk then lower?
You can only have windpox once or not when you are vaccinated.
It’s only contagious if you came into contact with the liquid from the bubbles. If it’s a real belt rose then you’d just get the underlying disease windpox. If you already had bangs or are vaccinated against it, the risk is even lower to get them.
