Calculate with units?

Here I calculated the distance normally with the speed times the time.

And for me it came out as normal 8.308 meters.

But the solution says it is 8308 meters.

If all my units were in meters and seconds, why does it suddenly appear to be kilometers?

In general I'm quite unsure when it comes to calculating with units. Could someone explain this to me?

Thanks

Tip for recruiting units: think about something to get out. For example, if you have km and you want to convert to m, you know that you should stay there and the km “to cut off” so you reckon * 1000m/km (times a thousand meters per km). Of course a stupid example because kilo eh means 1000, but according to the simple example you can calculate everything.

Further example: 200h in minutes:

it should come out min and the hours (h) should get away (slip out). You can now consider how many minutes per hour are and multiply by: 200h * 60min/h

already the hours are gone

You see at first sight that this can’t be 8??

29*280 >> 8

How do you get at ~ 29 m/s * 286 s to 8?
